Been a while, might be because the areas in which I update about the general things going on, doesn't so much exist here. In fact it wouldn't be all too far off to say I've drifted away from this site. Well not entirely, it still actively remains a permanent fixture upon my browser, and I do look around day to day. You never know what little sketch or photograph, or digital masterpiece will inspire you to create something. Many of my best ideas clicked because of some instance, of sensory encounter. That being said I'll keep trying to update this if for chance something happens. Nothing's really happened yet, well a lot at I just feel...it is time.
So; Dylaera. How does it go that life long project of mine? Better than expected, but not as good as I wish it could be. The Patreon chugs along with just that one backer since pretty much it started in March. However, I choose not to dwell on that problem as much as I could. I should...but that's not the thing. I started that campaign not to make money, but to give me the incentive to actually write. I did it to instill within myself some discipline; and it worked. I have without fail(minus that issue with the site's login) produce a page on a constant once ever three day basis...hell yes. So where are we since I started? since I last updated a journal?...about to begin Chapter 8. The story is finishing its introduction arc and we're moving towards the real meat and potatoes. I'm excited, more so for the fact that by keeping to the schedule I am beginning to achieve my goal...I am wanting to write. I am getting my pages done faster, thinking about the world more(like that was possible), and I'm getting my work done ahead of time.
So what Do I see in the future for me and this little world I've crafted. Well my life is about to get busy, I might be coming into the ability to acquire my own house even if it's a rent. So the idea and the anticipation that I might soon be finally into something above and beyond good for me as a person is being shown in the work I do. I don't just push out a page, I want to write it. I can only hope that this continues and becomes more...fruitful. If anything I don't care if people pay...I just want people to read; that has been my goal since I started this project in 2009...I write a book for people to read and find a new world to explore and exist within their memories. If I wanted money I'd have created trash that sells...
I want a living world.
Quote of the Journal:
The bridge loomed ahead for both parties, offering a road to their next adventure. For one, an inviting hearth and home, welcoming and waiting. To the other it spelled the start to a long journey through the unforgiving towards desolation.
